You need to pay a fee to participate in the league. The fee is used to cover the costs of the league, such as running the website and marketing costs for finding players. The fee is paid once per season, ie there is no recurring payment.
If you complete at least 2 matches in a round you get €10 off the registration fee on your next round. This means that the fee for actives players is significantly lower than the initial fee.
Once you pay the fee for an upcoming round, you are registered to participate in this round (in the location of your choice). Once the round starts, you will be matched with other players who selected the same location based on your skills / level of experience. You will then have access to a player lobby where you will be able to see the contact details of other players in your group and the results of your group matches. You will also be able to enter results of your games there and keep track of your progress.
It's up to you to organise your matches with the other players in your group. Please use the player lobby to find the contact details for your partners by clicking on the opponent's name in the league table. Depending on the player's sharing preferences their email address and phone number will be visible.
The league assigns a score to each player which is used to allocate players to groups. If you just signed up, the score will be based on your age, gender and the responses to the questionnaire. After each completed round, your score will be updated depending on the results of your matches.
The number of players in a group depends on the number of people registering at a given location as well as their score: our highest priority is to ensure that you have fun but challenging matches and the number of players in a given group can therefore vary. However, in order to provide a resonable number of matches for each player we aim to keep the number of players in each group between four and seven.
No. The registration fee (and tennis-liga.at as a whole) is not affiliated with any of the public courts and does not cover the cost of the courts for your matches. The fee covers the costs of running the website and finding other players (ie marketing costs).
